MODIS系列数据下载方法

数据概况

MODIS是Terra和Aqua卫星上搭载的主要传感器之一，两颗星相互配合每1-2天可重复观测整个地球表面，得到36个波段的观测数据。

MODIS数据产品按处理级别划分，可以分为以下5种：

  • 0级产品：也称原始数据;
  • 1级产品：指L1A数据，已经被赋予定标参数;
  • 2级产品：经过定标定位后数据，本系统产品是国际标准 的EOS-HDF格式。包含所有波段数据，是应用比较广泛的一类数据。;
  • 3级产品：在1B数据的基础上，对由遥感器成像过程产生的边缘畸变(Bowtie效应)进行校正，产生L3级产品;
  • 4级产品：由参数文件提供的参数，对图像进行几何纠正，辐射校正，使图像的每一点都有精确的地理编码、反射率和辐射率。L4级产品的MODIS图像进行不同时相的匹配时，误差小于1个像元。该级产品是应用级产品不可缺少的基础;
  • 5级及以上产品：根据各种应用模型开发L5级产品。

波段介绍

MODIS数据的主要特点为：

  1. 全球免费；
  2. 光谱范围广，共有36个波段，光谱范围从0.4um-14.4um；
  3. 重访周期短，TERRA和AQUA卫星都是太阳同步极轨卫星，TERRA在地方时上午过境，AQUA在地方时下午过境。TERRA与AQUA上的MODIS数据在时间更新频率上相配合，加上晚间过境数据，对于接收MODIS数据来说可以得到每天最少2次白天和2次黑夜更新数据。这样的数据更新频率，对实时地球观测和应急处理（例如森林和草原火灾监测和救灾）有较大的实用价值。

MODIS的多波段数据可以同时提供反映陆地表面状况、云边界、云特性、海洋水色、浮游植物、生物地理、化学、大气中水汽、气溶胶、地表温度、云顶温度、大气温度、臭氧和云顶高度等特征的信息，各个波段用途可参见 波段介绍

下载方法

本文档介从 NASA 下载数据的方法：

  1. 打开 LAADS 网站：https://ladsweb.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/

  1. 进入 “Data DISCOVERY/Find Data”

  1. Product/Select a Sensor，可以根据需要的传感器选择下载，如选择：Aqua/MYD021KM

  1. 点击顶栏的”TIME”，添加筛选的时间段

  1. 下一步选择”LOCATION”，右侧有多种方法可以用来选择范围

  1. 点击”FILES”，即可看到查询到的数据列表，点击”Download”即可直接下载

数据处理

使用 Envi软件 “File/open external file/Generic Formats/HDF” ，即可打开外部文件格式
